STEM teachers from the New York Master Teacher Program converged at SUNY Plattsburgh for a DNA Analysis Workshop with the MiniOne System Team and others.  Our MiniOne System Team spent time demonstrating the technology advances of the MiniOne unit and shared some best practices for DNA Analysis curriculum with teachers in attendance.  In turn, STEM teachers shared their best practices and their own classroom success stories.  As always, the best part of these workshops is the mindshare.

About the New York State Master Teacher Program

How do you strengthen K–12 STEM education?  You gather the best and brightest STEM teachers and let them network and mindshare.

New York governor, Andrew Cuomo launched the program in partnership with the State University of New York and Math for America.  The program creates a statewide network of the highest performing STEM teachers that are dedicated to sharing expertise with peers.

About the MiniOne Electrophoresis System

Designed specifically for biology educators and students, the MiniOne provides for inexpensive research quality DNA separation in one classroom period. The premise of the MiniOne is to allow the work to be performed by students in real time. General and AP biology students have found the MiniOne easy to use, and they see success nearly every time.
