Okay – we’ll be honest with you –we didn’t literally go two-steppin’. We did, however, meet up with a couple of wonderful Houston high schools last week. Science partners at North Houston Early College High School and Carnegie Vanguard High School took time out of their day to lead us through their programs and curriculum.
We had a great visit at North Houston Early College High School and we want to thank their team for welcoming us into their school to learn about their biology program. Like many area Houston schools, NHECHS has a ranked science program that encourages hands-on learning. We shared information about our products and our available teacher resources. We invite you to meet some of their teachers and students:
Carnegie Vanguard High School, a top 10 US News & World Report high school, welcomed us with open arms as well. Carnegie is pleased to share that they are the only Vanguard high school in the Houston Independent School District (HISD) with 100% of the students identified as gifted and talented in academics. Their science program is very hands-on and we spent a great deal of time reviewing lab opportunities with the MiniOne Electrophoresis System.
They’ve got active Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds. Check them out when you have time.
Wishing all the teachers and students a great school year!
